Lodhi Gardens have provided a quiet place in South Delhi for many years. You can enjoy the nature or the historic tombs and other buildings. It is situated near Khan Market and contains the 500 year old Mohammad Shah tomb. It is definitely a place to check out if you are looking for some solitude.

As the name suggests, the Garden of the Five Senses is a place to evoke all your senses and give them a respite from the hustle of Delhi life. Humayun’s tomb was the first garden tomb to be built in India in 1570. These gardens are very peaceful and scenic. The best thing is that there is an entry fee that prevents the crowd from coming in. So if you want to spend a peaceful day with a book or with your family, just come to Humayun’s tomb at the crossing of Mathura road and Lodhi road.

1. Hauz Khas Complex

Hauz Khas in South Delhi is a place for students and shoppers. But there is a great place for someone looking for some peace and quiet as well. It is the Hauz Khas Complex which contains a lake, a mosque, a tomb and some pavilions and other structures from the 13th century. For centuries this park has existed as a peaceful refuge for the students of Delhi as it contained old Madarsas where students would come to study during the time of Allauddin Khilji. Visit this park for a peaceful day in the lap of nature and history.
